New Zealand's Wax Chattels are a fiery indie-punk trio that set things ablaze with their rumbling guitars, ominous synths and captivating vocals. Shortlisted for Taite Music Prize and Auckland Live Best Independent Debut Award, much anticipation surrounds their upcoming sophomore album Clot. Their new single 'Efficiency' is out now, alongside a moody, black and white music video. 'Efficiency' is an instant fix of distorted guitar that bleeds into the crevices, encompassed by Tom Leggett's frenzied drumming that sees frequent hits of the bass drum. Vigorous and direct vocals from Amanda Cheng and Peter Ruddell spit "Blood seeps from between my teeth. As I bite my tongue." Clot is available from September 25, 2020.
